The table below illustrates that very few particles are generated by the FV series. For standard trickle bypass valves, particles are generated due to vibration caused by valve shutoff.

  1. Test valves are thoroughly flushed before test. 
  2. As illustrated in Fig. 1, test vavles are cycled 120 times (1 cycle: ON - 2.5 sec / OFF - 2.5 sec) under DIW flow, and particle sizes/counts are calculated.
